Type of Casino Game:
Play’n GO’s Super Wheel is an online casino game that delivers the excitement of money wheels directly to your doorstep. Money wheels have been around for ages, both in live casinos and game shows. This is a game perfect for more casual punters and thrill-seekers. There is no need to learn a detailed strategy for this game. The most you can do is try to find the right balance of bets. Even that is dependent on luck in the end! As with previous titles by this developer, the graphics are fantastic. Animations, in particular, have blown us away!
The RTP for this release is 92%. Gameplay consists of spinning the money wheel and hoping you get the prize. There are no side bets to keep you engaged as you keep spinning the reels. This makes Super Wheel lag behind other money wheel games like Monopoly Live and Crazy Time. Titles that have successfully iterated on the formula, showing us the true potential of this type of gameplay.
When you first launch the game, you will see a large wheel in front of you. The table has five number bets and two logo wagers. The bigger the number, the higher the reward is for winning it. That is because bigger numbers have fewer positions on the wheel. It makes them difficult to nail down. The two logo symbols, for example, have only one position on the wheel. To play the game, select a coin value, and place it on the bet you want to play.
After bets are placed, the random number generator spins the wheel. If the arrow lands on a number you bet on, you win the corresponding prize. If it does not land on your chosen number, you lose that round. When the round ends, it is time to bet again for the next round.
Sadly, there are no side bets for this Play’n GO release. If there was ever a game that needed something extra, this one is definitely it! Just spinning the wheel repeatedly by ourselves does not make for a very exciting game. There is a reason live casinos employ presenters alongside the money wheel. You need something to keep people occupied and entertained because the wheel cannot do that by itself.
The value of each number also tells you how much it will pay if won. For example, a winning number three pays 3:1, while a winning number five pays 5:1. This applies for all numbers, but what about logos? Both logos pay 47:1 if won. As you might expect, it is quite difficult to score that prize, given that each logo gets one position on the wheel only.
While Super Wheel shows a lot of potential, it needs a little bit more effort put into it. As it currently stands, it makes for a good game for money wheel fans. It offers basic gameplay with a chance at an occasional big win. If that is something you enjoy, you will probably have a blast with this Play’n GO release. That said, we personally feel like the developers could do much better here. We would like to see actual side bets that create more varied gameplay for future releases. Still, if you cannot play live casino money wheels for whatever reason, it makes for a good enough alternative.
