INTRODUCTION

We don’t know if you heard, but it seems that zombies were very active in ancient China. Mighty warriors have been battling against these brain-eating creatures for centuries now and it is up to you to help them and be generously rewarded for your achievements. Just collect Mirror symbols to trigger the Free Games feature, during which extra Wilds appear from Mirror Scatters.

HOW TO PLAY I, ZOMBIE

The Mirror is used as a Scatter that triggers the Free Games feature. I, Zombie is the Wild that substitutes for all regular symbols. There are three warriors on the cover of the game, so it probably means that they will also appear as high-value symbols. There is the elderly Sensei, a Blue Female Warrior with knives and the Red Sorceress, who seems to be the leader of the group. Of course, we expect a Zombie or two to appear on the reels as well.

When it comes to the rules of the game, we can tell you that spinners don’t need to be professional zombie hunters in order to play the game, because it will all be about the spooky fun. The 2018 release features five reels, three rows and offers 25 adjustable paylines, which pay left to right, starting from the leftmost reel. Land at least three matching symbols on an active payline to win a payout. High-value icons even pay for two of a kind. Bet as low as $0.25 and as high as $125 per spin.

EXTRA FEATURES

When an I, Zombie Wild or a Scatter Mirror appear on a reel, they may cause two extra Wilds to appear on that same reel, so gamers may get a Wild reel for bigger wins. To trigger the Free Games feature, you need to land three or more Mirrors on the reels. For each Mirror and I, Zombie Wild that appear during the triggering spin, gamers will get 2 freebies.

If four Mirror Scatters trigger the feature, all prizes will be doubled. If five Scatters trigger freebies, all prizes are tripled. Every Mirror and Wild that appears during the feature will add more Wilds to the reels. Gamers will be pleased to know that free games can be retriggered.

PAYOUTS

The biggest possible payout gamers can expect in the Realtime Gaming title is set at 50,000 times the bet per line, which is the max payout for other RTG products. We reckon that the Free Games feature will provide the best payouts, especially if you trigger the feature with four or five Scatters, so as to double and triple all wins.

We really hope that our prediction will not be the accurate one, for Realtime Gaming’s sake, but we feel that I, Zombie will not offer anything new or special to gamers. A common theme, common surroundings and only one additional feature do not predict success. An extra bonus game could have done the trick, but time will tell whether we were right.

The slot looks and sounds very good and it may be exciting from time to time, but that is not enough. Taking everything under consideration, the 2018 release will have a hard time standing out from the crowd this fall.
