God’s Temple Deluxe Slot Review
The good people of Booongo decided to refresh the popular video slot God’s Temple and as a result we now have the pleasure of enjoying God’s Temple Deluxe. The 6-reel slot with 64 fixed paylines houses exceptional graphics and a fitting soundtrack, while offering a Free Spins feature with mirrored reels and Wild reels. There are two ways to trigger freebies, so watch out for the Anubis Scatters, because you will have to collect a great deal of them during gameplay. Enter the ancient temple and explore the pyramid board to discover ancient treasures.
The refreshed version of the popular slot really looks and sounds superb. Horus and Anubis are the main deities in the God’s Temple Deluxe video slot. The mighty god of kingship and the sky is the Wild that substitutes for all regular symbols, while the god of afterlife in Egyptian culture is used as a Scatter that triggers the Free Spins feature. The golden Scarab is the most important regular symbol and is followed by the emerald Ankh, golden-emerald Brooch and the Eye of Chorus. Simple playing cards are used as low-value symbols.
The reels of the 2018 release are placed between two stone pillars with paintings of Anubis on both of them. The reel grid is a bit peculiar, resembling a pyramid of ancient Egypt. The Booongo title features six reels and offers 64 fixed palyines, which pay left to right, beginning from the far left reel. Three of a kind is the minimum for landing payouts. Every spin requires 30 coins, but the coin value can be changed, so players may bet from £0.20 to £60 per spin. The command list is pretty standard for Booongo products, so you shouldn’t have any difficulties finding your way in this temple.
The only feature offered by the 2018 release is the Free Spins feature, which can be triggered in two ways. First of all, punters can land 3-5 Scatters on reels 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 and get 6, 8 or 12 freebies, depending on the number of Anubis Scatters landed. Also, spinners may trigger Extra Free Spins by collecting Scatters during base game. Every Scatter that lands during base game is added to the progressbar counter and once players collect 999 Scatters, they will get 10 Extra Free Spins. During the feature, reels will be mirrored and two random reels will be filled with Wilds for bigger wins. Sadly, the feature cannot be retriggered.
Even though Anubis may seem as the most important symbol in the Booongo title, Hours is the most generous one, offering 25 times the bet for five of a kind. If you manage to fill all the cells with Wilds, you can win 1,600 times the bet in a single spin. The Free Spins feature is where you can expect hefty payouts, due to Wild reels and mirrored reels. God’s Temple Deluxe’s RTP is 96.84%.
God’s Temple Deluxe on Mobile
Due to the fact that God’s Temple Deluxe is a new-and-improved version of the famous original, the quality of the game and the visuals are better than they were before and, since the 2018 release is playable across all devices, gamers can expect the same gaming experience on any compatible gadget, either they play the desktop or the mobile version.
+ Freebies come with Wild reels and mirrored reels
+ Stunning visuals
+ Interesting reel grid
– Freebies can’t be retriggered
– Needs more action
– No multipliers
We are sure that Booongo did everything they could to improve the popular God’s Temple video slot, but, in our humble opinion, they could have done more, especially when talking about the special features. There are two ways to trigger the Free Spins feature, but freebies cannot be retriggered and, frankly, it takes time to collect 999 Scatters or to get 3 or more Scatters on the reels at the same time, so an additional Bonus game could have done the trick. The visuals are simply superb, as always when it comes to Booongo products.
