INTRODUCTION

When it comes to casino games, simple usually takes the cake. There are some standout examples, certainly. However, if you want to attract an audience quickly? Something simple and interesting is usually the way to go. We can see BetGames taking this approach with their War of Bets game. If you ever enjoyed a round of Dragon Tiger, the rules here will immediately make sense to you. What is new is how this release handles wagering.

There is no RTP information regarding this game. Part of that is because War of Bets’ wagers are constantly shifting depending on which card was drawn on the player position. Depending on the visible card, the wager might pay more or less than the original offer. Additionally, some bets can no longer be played after the player card is drawn. You play this game with six decks of cards that dealers manually shuffle. The shoe is changed when approximately forty cards remain in the deck.

HOW TO PLAY WAR OF BETS

Most of the fun with War of Bets comes down to placing bets. The core gameplay loop is very simple. Casino members have ten seconds to place any initial bets they might have. The host will then draw one card in the player position. At that point, wagering opens up again with adjusted odds to account for the visible card. Fifteen seconds later, the dealer draws a card for the dealer position. The hand with the stronger card will win the round. At that point, the next round begins and you start everything over again.

You place bets by navigating the four wager sections and selecting what stake you want to play. You can see the expected payout for each bet listed alongside its name. If a lock appears adjacent to a bet, it means that the stake cannot be played currently. This occurs for the suit, colour, and value bets that depend on predicting what the next player card will be. You can only place one bet at a time via the bet slip. However, nothing is stopping you from playing multiple wagers in a single round.

EXTRA FEATURES

Alongside the main bets, you expect from War of Bets, BetGames offers the player a chance to enjoy several side bets. These side bets fall into colour, suit, and value categories. Each category tries to predict just what kind of card will appear in the player or dealer position. The payouts for all side bets change as more and more cards are drawn. This is done automatically by the game’s software, and we cannot see a way to cheese it.

The simplest set of side bets to tackle are the colour side bets. Here, players try to predict whether the next player or dealer card will be red or black. You can play both dealer and player side bets before the player card is drawn. After that, you can only try to predict if the dealer card will be red or black.

Next up are the suit wagers. They are similar to colour side bets, except they are even more specific. This time around, you need to predict the exact suit the next player or dealer card will be. Your options are club, diamond, heart, and spade. Just like colour side bets, the odds automatically update as more cards are drawn. The less of a specific suit there is in the shoe, the more it pays when won.

Last on the list are value bets. Here, casino members can try to predict several things. First, whether the next player or dealer card will be more than eight, less than eight, or exactly eight. Second, they can try to predict if the next player or dealer card will be a face card or a pip card. J, Q, and K are face cards, while all the other cards including Ace are pip cards. Because face cards are rarer, they will usually pay more.

PAYOUTS

As far as main bets are concerned, players will be happy to hear that War of Bets stays simple. Just like the main game, casino members are trying to predict if the dealer or the player’s hand will win the round. New to BetGames version is the ability to bet that a tie, also known as War, will occur. The odds of that happening are low, of course. That is why War is consistently the highest paying main bet, regardless of what happens on the field.

WAR OF BETS (BETGAMES): CASINOBLOKE’S VERDICT

If you enjoyed the original War of Bets, BetGames version offers a fun spin on things. Instead of having a personal stake in the outcome of the round, casino members wager on the outcome they want. Sometimes, that is as simple as betting against the player position. Other times, it means stubbornly trying to win by waiting for the dealer to draw an eight card. If this sounds interesting to you, then this release awaits you in the following online casinos.
