Yggdrasil’s Golden Chip Roulette is an online roulette table that offers us an exciting new addition. Each single number bet has a shot at bringing you an improved payout through a randomly awarded multiplier! This table uses a random number generator to display results and award payouts. You play it alone, which allows you to skip the animation of the roulette wheel spinning. The visual side of Golden Chip Roulette is excellent. It comes with a brilliant black and gold colour scheme that stands out compared to all other roulette games. This release can be played on both desktop and mobile.
This table is played using European rules. That means there is only one zero on the roulette wheel. The RTP for this game is 97.30%, assuming you are not trying to chase after multiplier wins. In that case, the RTP is lowered slightly to 96.80%. You can play several side bets in Yggdrasil’s release. We have the four French bets, as well as the neighbour bets. You cannot save your existing wager, but you can place the same bet again using the Re-bet button. You can also Re-bet and spin, and re-bet while doubling your wager.
Before you can start the round, you need to place a wager. Select one of the available coin values, and place them on the table as you like. Keep in mind that not all wagers will accept the same amount of money. You can wager a lot more money on outside bets than you can on the higher value inside wagers. Mousing over a bet will tell you what the maximum bet for it is. It also highlights what numbers will be played. To remove an already placed coin, press the undo button. If you want to remove all your bets, tap the clear button instead.
With Golden Chip Roulette being a single-player game, you have no time limit. As such, you can take all the time in the world adjusting your bet to your liking. When you are ready, press the Spin button. This spins the wheel, which decides the winning number. You can click the wheel to skip the animation in order to reveal the prize immediately.
Each time the roulette wheel spins, it will first display a multiplier value. This multiplier value can display a result ranging from 10x to 500x. Said multiplier tells us how much you will win if you successfully predict the drawn number. The increased reward only counts for straight number bets.
Neighbour and French bets can both be made using the racetrack visible above the reel. Placing a bet on any number on the racetrack adds five chips to the table. One for the actual number, and two for its neighbour on both the left and right side. You also have access to four French bets: Zero, Voisins, Tiers and Orphelins. Like with neighbours, you bet on these by placing a coin on their respective field.
Yggdrasil’s release is designed to draw you in to play risky bets. With a shot at winning a 499:1 prize, we cannot imagine many punters avoiding straight number bets. The odds of winning one are not great, but a shot at a big payout may be worth it for some! Other inside wagers and their payouts are as follows:
Outside bets are less risky but tend to be safer bets as a result. Dozen and column bets pay 2:1 and cover twelve numbers total. Red/black, odd/even and high/low all cover eighteen of the thirty-six total numbers, and pay even money when won.
We are always excited to see attempts to try something new with roulette. Not all experiments work out, but we are happy to report Yggdrasil hit the jackpot with their idea! As long as you are not mindlessly chasing after a multiplier single number win, this variant is great. It requires a bit of strategy to shine!
