Launched in 2019, The Pig Wizard Megaways represents the sequel to the original slot from 2015. The second game starring the heroic hog hit the market in 2018, featuring a progressive jackpot and a very low RTP.
The 2019 release has somewhat corrected that mistake, which coupled with the popular Megaways mechanic should make it more appealing to slot lovers. When it comes to features on offer, players will be able to benefit from random multipliers, the Mystery Mirror feature, leading to a Win Streak, and the Free Spins round. The latter offers a random multiplier on each spin, reaching x50. Payouts can go all the way to 10,000 times the bet, or 250,000.
On the reels, you’ll find the usual set of low-paying Royals. They award from 0.5x to 1x your sake for six of a kind. On the other hand, symbols that feature a treasure chest, magic tome, the wizard’s hat, and the wizard himself payout more generous prizes, ranging from 2 to 10 times the bet.
The Wild symbol will be making its appearance on all reels save the leftmost one, substituting for all icons, except the Scatter. The wizard on a blue tile acts as the Scatter, while the tile will change the colour once the bonus round starts. You’ll also encounter purple crystal balls, which serve as the mystery symbol.
You’ll need to get at least two matching symbols on adjacent reels to start receiving payouts. All symbols pay from left to right. Before the action begins, you’ll need to place your wager. It’s all about the Mystery Mirror, which can randomly activate one of three modifiers, during both the Main Game and the Free Spins.
These modifiers are:
Spinnus Repeatum. Forming a winning combination with a randomly chosen symbol unlocks the Win Streak feature. The combination will remain in place for a respin with only the chosen symbol. Form an additional combo to get another respin. The feature comes to an end when there are no more new symbols.
Magical Win Spin. The pig wizard will appear to award Wilds and mystery symbols. Mystery symbols can turn into any regular icon, except the Scatter.
Winnus Revealo. The pig wizard will appear on the reels again, turning a losing spin into a winning one. It can also upgrade the winning one to award a bigger cash prize.
Land three or more Scatters to activate the Free Spins round and receive ten to twenty spins. Getting at least two extra Scatter retriggers the game, adding five to twenty-five spins to your count. While the feature is active, players can significantly increase their winnings thanks to random win multipliers. You can also activate any of the three modifiers we mentioned to win up to 10,000 the bet in the bonus round.
