Type of Casino Game:
Microgaming’s Real Baccarat with Sarati is one of the most fascinating games to launch recently. It looks like a live casino game, with a real-world dealer in front of a camera. However, all the action is actually pre-recorded. Instead, the results of each round are determined using a random number generator. There is no talking to Sarati or other players.
There are upsides to this sort of system. You do not have to wait for other players to bet. You control the pace of each round! The RTP for this game is 98.94%, achievable by only playing banker bets. Players only have two available side bets: player pair and banker pair.
Feel free to take your time sorting out your bets. Since you do not have to wait for other players, you do not have to rush. Choose one of the available coin values, and place them on the wagers you want to play. At any point, you can use the double button to double your current stake. To start the round, press the deal button in the top right corner of the screen.
Sarati will then draw two cards for both player and banker positions. The cards are placed face down initially, before being flipped. The dealer may also draw a third card for one or both sides if it is required. The side closest to numbers eight or nine win the round. If both hands have the exact same value, the round ends with a tie.
Microgaming has also provided us with roadmaps in Real Baccarat with Sarati. They can be found on the left of the screen. Click or tap the mini roadmap first to reveal a more detailed version. Doing that again will open a full-screen roadmap.
This release only has two side bets, and both work identically. One is just geared towards player hands, while the other targets banker hands. Banker and Player pair side bets are self-explanatory. You are placing a bet that the first two cards will form a pair. If this does not happen, it results in a loss. Both side bets pay 11:1 when won. The colour or suit of the pair does not increase the payout.
This sole side bet offers the best possible reward. However, if you want to stick to main bets, you have three options. First is the banker bet, which wins more frequently than the player bet does. However, it is subject to a 5% commission, meaning you get a 0.95:1 win. Player bets do not have to pay a commission of any kind, meaning they grant a 1:1 prize. Tie bets are rare but grant a 8:1 payout when won.
The developers have done a good job bridging the gap between live dealer and RNG games. However, it is not a perfect blend. It does not take long for the illusion to drop. You cannot interact with the dealer. Everything is plastic and pre-recorded. Real Baccarat with Sarati is fun to play. We just wish it had more side bets!
