Roulette has existed in many different forms for hundreds of years. However, certain variations have only become possible thanks to advancements in technology. One of them is Playtech’s Live Quantum Roulette. It takes European Roulette as a baseline, and adds randomly assigned multipliers to the mix. Thanks to this addition, players can win prizes up to 499:1 with every wheel spin.
Players can bet on thirty-seven numbers in total. This includes a single zero and thirty-six numbers split across red and black zones. The zero sits on a green field, allowing it to be excluded from all outside bets. The user interface is compact and easy to use. It also has a fantastic animation that plays when one or more numbers are assigned multipliers! Players can also place side bets using the racetrack.
You can approach betting in one of two ways in Live Quantum Roulette. You can pick coins and place your bets directly on the betting board, as is standard. Alternatively, you can use the Bet Creator function. This opens a separate betting board where you can place wagers at your leisure. You can plan your wagers in the Bet Creator without worrying about the bet timer. Once your wager is ready, you can place it for the next round or save it as a preset.
Every position on the betting board can be wagered on. A bet can cover one or more positions. The more positions a bet covers, the safer it is to play. These are outside bets, which cover twelve or more numbers. On the opposite side of things are inside bets. They cover fewer numbers, but offer better payouts to compensate. Only single-number or straight-up bets are subject to multiplier payout boosts.
Up to five multiplier boosts will be applied to random numbers after the betting timer runs out. The multipliers will replace the initial prize. Possible multipliers include 50x, 100x, 150x, 200x, 250x, 300x, 400x and 500x. It is possible for multiple straight up bets to be boosted by the same multiplier. Special events can also occur randomly. One event increases some or all multipliers by 50. Another can double or triple all active multipliers.
With the racetrack, players can place a variety of combination wagers. The most popular of these are the four French bets. These include tier, orphelins, voisins and zero. Each French bet covers a section of the wheel. French bets are a mix of straight-up number bets and wagers that cover multiple numbers.
Neighbour bets are the second type of extra bet you can play. Pick a number from the racetrack. The neighbour bet will place a wager on that number and two adjacent numbers on the left and right side. You control how many neighbour numbers are placed. At maximum, you can have a nine neighbour bet.
Outside bets remain unchanged as far as payouts are concerned. Even money bets, which include 1-18/19-36, Odd/Even and Red/Black pay 1:1, and cover eighteen numbers total. Other outside bets include dozen and column. These wagers only cover twelve numbers instead of eighteen. They are slightly more risky to play, and offer a 2:1 payout to make up for that.
Inside bets cover far fewer numbers than their outside counterparts. However, they offer better payouts to make up for that. Inside bets and their payouts are listed below.
Straight Up bets have had their payouts decreased. This is how Playtech can give us multipliers while keeping the same 97.30% RTP as standard roulette. However, the straight number bet is also the only wager that can be increased by the multiplier. Because of that, its top prize is 499:1, or 500x your total stake.
Live Quantum Roulette is not the first game to tackle the roulette with multipliers concept. However, it is definitely the best one currently on the market. The random events that occasionally boost your payouts on top of multipliers are fantastic. Because of them, every round feels like it could produce that huge win that we are all chasing.
