Dwarf Mine Slot Review
It is a well-known fact that dwarfs are experts when it comes to mining and digging up precious gemstones. Thanks to the good people of Yggdrasil, gamers will visit Dwarf Mine, a five-reel, four-row video slot that offers 1,024 ways to win, at least in the beginning. Playable from £0.10 per spin, the 2019 release offers the Expanding Reels feature, where gamers can expand the reel grid up to 5×7 and increase the number of ways to win up to 16,807. Also, punters will collect special symbols to trigger the Collection Free Spins feature, with super high-value symbols. There is the regular Free Spins feature where gamers can get 10 freebies.
The reel grid is set deep underground and a Dwarf will keep you company and operate the machine as you spin the reels of the 2019 release. To find your way around, you will need mining equipment and most of it is available among high-value symbols. There is the Helmet, Pickaxe, Shovel and a Lantern. Card suits drawn on wood are used for low-paying symbols. Also, there are four super high-value symbols, in the form of four different gemstones. The Drill is the Scatter that triggers the Free Spins feature and also activates the Expanding Reels feature.
As for the rules of the game, they are quite simple, so there is no danger that any of the spinners will get hurt in the mine. The 2019 release features five reels, four rows and offers 1,204 ways to win. Land three matching symbols on successive reels, starting from the leftmost reel, and you will start winning payouts. It is possible to expand the reel grid by landing Scatters. Each Scatter will expand the reel grid by one row, up to maximum possible 7 rows. Also, it will increase ways to win up to maximum 16,807. Betting starts at £0.10, and the biggest possible bet is set at £125 per spin.
Apart from expanding the reel grid, Scatters also trigger the Free Spins feature. Drill Scatters land only on reels 1, 3 and 5 and once all three of them are on the reels, you will trigger the Free Spins feature and get 10 freebies. The feature is played on a 5×7 reel grid, which will secure you more wins. The sad part is that the feature cannot be retriggered.
The Collection Free Spins feature is triggered when gamers collect one collection of Collectible Crystals. There are five collections to be completed and for each of them, you will get 5 free spins with super high-value symbols. A super high-value symbol that is of the same colour as the triggering crystal is added to the reels and the feature is played on a 5×7 reel grid.
According to our sources, the maximum possible payout is set at 3,904 times the bet. The super high-value symbols pay the most. , the Red one is the best, offering 100 coins for five of a kind. Next in line is the Blue, rewarding gamers with 90 coins for the maximum combination. Remember that more than one matching symbol on the reels adds a multiplier to the win. Dwarf Mine’s RTP is 96.80%.
Dwarf Mine on Mobile
Mines can be very dangerous, so if you decide not to visit the Dwarf Mine in person, you can always do it from a safe distance, from your homes, or on the go, because the Yggdrasil title can be played across all devices. Excellent graphics and awesome quality of the game will secure the same gaming experience on all gadgets.
+ More winning symbols on the reels add a multiplier to the win
+ Free spins played on a 5×7 reel grid with 16,807 ways to win
+ Crisp graphics
– No Wilds
– Free spins cannot be retriggered
– Generic card suits
This is not the first video slot themed after mines and dwarfs we have tested and it also is not the best one we had the pleasure of playing, but we are more than satisfied with what Dwarf Mine has to offer. Expanding reels, multipliers added on wins, the regular Free Spins feature and five Collection Free Spins feature offer more than enough action. We do not like the fact that there are no Wilds to help us form winning combinations more easily and that none of the Free Spins features can be retriggered. All in all, the Yggdrasil title is worth a try.
